Missions Ministry

We believe that the Great Commission was given to the church to be fulfilled corporately (Matt. 28:18-20; Acts 1:8). It does not end with evangelism, rather the establishment of local assemblies.  Because of this, our focus is strategic church-planting -- which involves training and sending “faithful men”to preach the gospel, make disciples, gather those disciples together into local churches, and train other “faithful” men to lead self-replicating indigenous churches.
Currently, Timberlake invests approximately 30% of its financial resources to partner with 42 foreign missionaries, 8 home missionaries, and several agencies.  We have the privilege of being the "Sending Church" for many of these missionaries.  In addition to the church budget, our people give thousands more toward global evangelization through special projects.
One of the most exciting aspects of our church's involvement in missions is the opportunity to participate in short-term ministry trips.  Every year, we send out multiple ministry teams to various part of the world.  There are also a number of individuals who travel in and out of countries on a regular basis for the purpose of evangelizing the lost, encouraging the believers, and training national pastors.
